The Community Engagement Office, located at 312 Wagner Ave Apt D, features local resource information as well as provides a space for community trainings and meetings. Furthermore, our EPD Community Liaison holds office hours at this location to answer questions and help connect citizens with local resources. Besides events, the Community Engagement Office Hours will be 2 p.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting January 10, 2024).
The Elkhart Police Department’s Community Engagement office envisions a harmonious and secure Elkhart where trust, collaboration, and open communication with our community are the foundation of our policing philosophy. The Community Engagement Office Vision Statement: “To build enduring relationships and unite with the community to address issues of crime, disorder, and quality of life. Our objective is to cultivate an environment where residents and officers join forces to tackle neighborhood challenges, leading to the creation of a safer, more resilient, community.”
We are pleased to welcome community groups and partners to this space. Most importantly, we look forward to interacting with members of the public and providing them with connections to these community partners.
